Release Notes

Splunk Asset and Risk Intelligence is not compatible with Splunk Enterprise 9.1.2 due to known issues SPL-237796, SPL-248319 where search results in "results" have more rows than expected. Upgrade to Splunk Enterprise 9.1.3 to use Splunk Asset and Risk Intelligence.

Known issues for Splunk Asset and Risk Intelligence

The following table includes known issues of Splunk Asset and Risk Intelligence. If no issues appear, then there are no known issues.

Date filed Issue description Workaround
2024-08-09 Users can't filter the Metrics posture page with metrics that aren't mapped to a cybersecurity framework. Follow these steps to create an inactive temporary framework with all metrics mapped to it:
  1. Navigate to Admin, then Risk management, and then Metric and framework management.
  2. From the Cybersecurity frameworks table, select Add framework and then Add custom framework.
  3. Enter a name and ID for the framework.
  4. Make sure to keep the framework set to Inactive, and then select Add.
  5. Locate your new framework in the table, and then select the settings icon to edit the framework.
  6. Select Add category, enter a category name and ID, and then select Add.
  7. Locate your new framework in the table, and then select the controls icon to edit the controls.
  8. Select Add control, select the new category you created, and then enter a control ID.
  9. Using the Metrics drop-down list, select all of your metrics, and then select Add.
2024-08-29 The navigation bar doesn't update newly added metrics and frameworks until the cache expires 24 hours later. Manually update the cache by following these steps:
  1. Open your web browser's web console.
  2. Navigate to the browser's Developer Tools.
  3. Select the Applications tab.
  4. Select the Local storage folder to see the saved values.
  5. Remove the following key:splunk-appnav:SplunkAssetRiskIntelligence:<username>:en-US.
  6. Reload the page.
