Get Started with Splunk Community

What is the Splunk Community?

Our community is organized into a few programs and sections, many of which are part of this site's experience, and a few that will direct you to our other sites and resources.

Getting Started

Here you'll find some helpful and important resources and messages regarding our community. There is a place for announcements, welcome messages, and introductions to the community engagement team. Lastly, we've included a place to send us some feedback on the community programs and experiences.

Splunk Answers

This is our product questions-and-answer program. It's a place to ask questions, get answers, and find technical solutions for any product in the Splunk portfolio, from passionate members of our community. Splunk Answers is organized into a series of categories and boards, and topics are further organized with Labels and Tags.

Here you can start a discussion, join a conversation, build your career, or just have fun! There are areas and boards for things like Security, IT Operations, DevOps, our Splunk Tech Talks, and even a casual #Random board.

User Groups

Join regional in-person and virtual meetups organized by community members like you! Connect and learn with Splunk enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds and experience levels by joining an existing Splunk User Group, attending an upcoming event, or starting a new group in your area.

Splunk Champions

The Splunk Champions are our most engaged community members. There are two levels to Splunk Champions: The MVP and the SplunkTrust. SplunkTrust are the pinnacle of Splunk Community membership, and therefore have special access to product features and feedback sessions, gain speaking opportunities at .conf and industry events, and continue their leadership within the Splunk Community. Splunk MVP are the SplunkTrust-track champions who are highly engaged in Slack, User Groups, and Answers.

Splunk Ideas

This is our online forum for any member to submit feedback and innovative ideas for any Splunk product. Similar to User Groups, we've made a special site and experience unique to this program. This link takes you to our Splunk Ideas site.

Community Slack

Lastly, join us over on our splunk-usergroups Community Slack workspace! There, you'll have even more opportunities to ask questions, get quick answers, be on top of news and announcements, and connect real-time with your fellow Splunk practitioners.
