Known issues in the Splunk App for Content Packs

This version of the app has the following reported known issues. If no issues appear below, no issues have yet been reported.

2022-12-20 ITSI-27745 Amazon Web Services Content Pack: Entity Type Dashboards do not populate when opened from entity detail page.


Workaround:

  1. Go to Configurations > Entity management
  2. Navigate to the Entity Types tab
  3. At EC2 Instance entity type, select Edit > Edit.
  4. In the pop up, open row expansion for Splunk Dashboards.
  5. Click on Edit under Reference Name - EC2 Instance Overview - AWS
  6. Select Entity Field region for value form.region and click on Save (just below the left side of the table).
  7. Click on Save (green button on the right side).

Perform similar steps for required (EBS Volume, ELB Instance or Lambda Functions) Entity Type.

2022-09-01 ITSI-25976 "Select Incident Priority" Dropdown of "ServiceNow - Incident Inspector" Dashboard is not working properly when we select "Equals" based filter.
2022-05-24 ITSI-24343 Observability Cloud Content Pack: Some Panels of Glass Table are redirecting to the parent service.
2022-05-24 ITSI-24338 Entity Overview Dashboard Issues : ITSI Timepicker is not synced with the dropdown of RUM Dashboards.
2022-04-07 ITSI-22848 KPI Base Search SPLK-Indexer.FutureTime has invalid timerange (latest=+18y@y) in search query.
2022-03-11 ITSI-22491 "ServiceNow - Service Analyzer" does not exclude KPIs/Services of other content packs.
2022-03-11 ITSI-22490 Panels of Glass Table of ServiceNow content pack are opening in Infrastructure overview dashboard instead of Service Analyzer and drilldown behavior is non-uniform.
2022-03-11 ITSI-22487 Lookups used in the Dashboards do not have corresponding savedsearches to populate the data.
2022-02-18 ITSI-22172 Service Incident has an entity rule defined based on entity title but does not make use of entity filtering.
2022-02-18 ITSI-22169 [ContentPack for ServiceNow] Service Incidents, KPI Incidents Closed (1h): search does not calculate the number of closed incidents within the last hour correctly.
2022-02-18 ITSI-22168 Service Incidents, KPI Incidents New (1h): search does not calculate the number of newly created incidents within the last hour correctly.
2022-02-18 ITSI-22166 Wrong search for entity type SNOW Incident, vital metric Total Incidents (1h).
2022-02-18 ITSI-22165 All searches should use the itsi-cp-servicenow-indexes macro.
2022-01-05 ITSI-20984 Content pack installed Base searches hit the 100 character limit.


Workaround:

  1. .Clone the KPI Base Search affected by this issue.
  2. Identify the Services that are consuming the KPI Base Search results by following the steps below:
    1. Go to ITSI > Configuration > KPI Base Searches
    2. Click on the KPI Base Search affected by this issue.
    3. Go to the Dependent KPIs section.
    4. Identify the list of KPIs and Services dependent on the KPI Base Searches from the list.
  3. Replace the KPI Base Search present in the Service with the Cloned KPI Base Search.

After you have performed the steps above, KPIs of the Service should be populated.
