Known issues

Version 3.17.0 of Splunk DB Connect contains the following known issues. If no issues appear below, no issues have yet been reported.

Date filed Issue number Description
2024-08-21 DBX-5855, DBX-5862 Inputs page does not load

Workaround:
Upgrade to Splunk DB Connect 3.18.1 or higher.
2024-06-14 DBX-5845 An exception was thrown while dispatching the python script handler

Workaround:
Delete the file splunk_sdk-1.5.0-py2.7.egg in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/splunk_app_db_connect/bin

Please wait for a patch to be released soon.

2024-06-11 DBX-5843 The connection string is invalid. Connection strings must start with: jdbc:mongodb//

Workaround:
This error only occurs when the JDBC driver was unable to establish a connection to the database. Driver Manager then tries to use other drivers and in the end the JDBC driver for MongoDB throws an exception which is shown as the last one. To get the error message corresponding to the expected driver, you will need to disable the Splunk DBX Add-on for MongoDB JDBC.
Please wait for a patch to be released soon.
2024-06-11 DBX-5844 Encrypted field resolver. An error occurred while decrypting the field!

Workaround:
It doesn't affect any functionality, but those logs are misleading. Please wait for a patch to be released soon.
