AWS Inputs Health

The AWS Inputs Heath dashboard allows you to visualise and monitor the health of your AWS data inputs. The dashboard provides you with charts showing an overview of the status of the data flow and a table view with details of the input status per AWS account ID, Region, and data source.

  • The pie chart shows you the percentage of inputs that have data flowing into Splunk Cloud Platform, and the percentage of inputs that do not have any data flow in at least one data source, region, or account. If you see inputs that have no data flowing, you can use the table view to filter your inputs to see exactly which input is not providing any data.
  • The first bar chart shows you up to ten data sources. Each bar shows you the number of inputs that have data flowing into Splunk Cloud Platform, and the number of inputs that are missing data in that data source in at least one region or account. The bars are ranked from most to least missing data. If you see data sources that have no data flowing, you can use the table view to filter your data sources to see exactly which input is not providing any data.
  • The second bar chart shows you up to ten account IDs. Each bar shows the number of data sources that have data flowing into Splunk Cloud Platform, and the number of data sources that are missing data in at least one region for that account. The bars are ranked from most to least missing data. If you see data sources that have no data flowing, you can use the table view to filter your account IDs to see exactly which input is not providing any data.
  • The table view shows you details about the events from each input in the data source, region, and account. Use the Account ID and Datasouce dropdown lists to filter the table view and show details about specific data inputs. You can click on the input name to show more information about the specific input.

The following table gives you an overview and description of the columns shown in the table view.
