New features for the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning

Here's what's new in each version of the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning. For past release information, see Release history for the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning.

Version 5.0.0

This is the first Splunk-supported release of the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning. The Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning (DSDL) was formerly known as the Deep Learning Toolkit (DLTK).

Compatibility

The Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning is compatible with Splunk Enterprise 8.1.x or higher and Splunk Cloud Platform. For version dependencies on required apps, see Version dependencies in the Use the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning manual.

Features and improvements

  • Improvements to the app UI and menu restructure.
  • New option for Jupyter Lab password changes in setup.
  • Improvements to app setup page.
  • Refresh of all prebuilt container images.
  • New option of a Docker-based UI guided image builder.
  • Addition of the Neural Network Designer Assistant.
  • Addition of a new Example for Host Clustering using UMAP on JA3 Signatures.
  • Various dashboard and example fixes.
  • Improved logging.
