Quick start guide for the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning

If you are familiar with the Splunk platform, have experience using Splunk supported apps from Splunkbase, and working with container environments, follow these quick start steps for the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning (DSDL).

Quick start steps

  1. Download and install the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning from Splunkbase.
  2. Restart your Splunk instance.
  3. Ensure you have an internet connected Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift environment accessible with permissions to pull the prebuilt MLTK container images and start containers.
  4. Setup the Splunk App for Data Science and Deep Learning by connecting it to your environment using the Configuration > Setup page of the app.
  5. Launch a new development container. Using the Configuration > Containers page of the app, select your image, runtime, and target, and click Start.

You can now open JupyterLab or another of the available third-party tools, and begin building models.
