Manually update Splunk Edge Hub OS

To update your Splunk Edge Hub OS, manually upload an upgrade file. This method is also useful for air-gapped environments.

Prerequisites

Set up your Splunk Edge Hub device and launch the Edge Hub Advanced settings page. See the following documentation:

Steps

Complete the following steps to manually update Splunk Edge Hub OS.

  1. When an update is available, contact edgesupport@splunk.com to receive an upgrade file.
  2. In the Edge Hub Advanced Settings page, navigate to System Update.
  3. Upload the provided upgrade file.
  4. Review and agree to the displayed terms and conditions.
  5. Confirm the upgrade.

Splunk Edge Hub OS receives the upgrade, progresses through the upgrade steps, and restarts.
