Splunk® Cloud Gateway (Legacy)

Install and Administer Splunk Cloud Gateway

Splunk Cloud Gateway version 1.12.3 has been removed from Splunkbase due to issues found with Mobile Device Management (MDM). If you're using MDM, downgrade to Splunk Cloud Gateway version 1.12.2. If you're participating in a beta release program and need the backend support features in Splunk Cloud Gateway version 1.12.3, contact mobile-support@splunk.com.

Change the Splunk Cloud Gateway ID

You can change the Cloud Gateway ID so that users can identify the instances that they're registered to when using the Connected Experiences mobile apps.

The Cloud Gateway ID is randomly generated when you install Splunk Cloud Gateway. You can change it in the Configure tab of Splunk Cloud Gateway or in the cloudgateway.conf file.

See Configure cloudgateway.conf to change the Cloud Gateway ID in the cloudageway.conf file.

Prerequisites

Change Cloud Gateway ID in the Configure tab

  1. Navigate to the Configure tab of Splunk Cloud Gateway.
  2. Next to the Cloud Gateway ID, tap the edit icon.
  3. Edit the ID. Splunk Cloud Gateway removes any white space and does not allow an empty string.
  4. Tap the edit icon again to save the Cloud Gateway ID.
