Fixed Issues in IT Essentials Work

Version 4.9.6 of Splunk IT Essentials Work was released on December 15, 2021.

This version includes version 2.16.0 of Apache log4j libraries, which addresses an additional DoS condition. This is the final fix for a product security issue. For more information, see Splunk Security Advisory for Apache Log4j (CVE-2021-44228).

You have to perform additional required steps to complete your upgrade to 4.9.6, see Version-specific upgrade notes for ITSI.

Version 4.9.6 for ITE Work is a compatible version for the Splunk App for Content Packs v1.4.0. For more information, see New features in the Splunk App for Content Packs.
