Compatibility

This version of the Splunk Add-on for Infrastructure is compatible with Splunk App for Infrastructure 1.4.0 and Splunk Enterprise 7.3.0.

New features

New feature or enhancement Description
Index for Kubernetes data The Splunk Add-on for Infrastructures creates the em_meta index for Kubernetes object metadata. When you monitor Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters, the em_meta index stores events with the kube:object:* sourcetype. For more information, see Source types and components for the Splunk Add-on for Infrastructure.
Indexed field extractions for Kubernetes data The Splunk Add-on for Infrastructure performs field extractions at index time for Kubernetes data. For more information, see Source types and components for the Splunk Add-on for Infrastructure.
Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Windows compatibility Collect Windows metrics using Perfmon inputs with the Splunk Add-on for Infrastructure and the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Windows. You can view Windows metrics in the Splunk App for Infrastructure while also collecting other Windows metrics with the Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Windows.
