Welcome to Splunk App for Infrastructure Release Notes. These release notes include information about new features, fixed issued, known issues, and a list of third-party software used in the application.

Added operating system support for data collection | Added support for data collection including Linux Ubuntu 17 and Ubuntu 18, Debian 9, Fedora 25+, SUSE Enterprise 12 and 15, openSUSE 42, 15, and Tumbleweed. |
Alert state-message sent to VictorOps improved | Alert messages sent to VictorOps are now more detailed and include a state-message, including the entity display name and other alert details. VictorOps then sends to other systems such as SNOW and to on-call engineers using various paging methods and integrations tools. |
Alert severity and last triggered alert status improved | When viewing alerts and their current state, the alert status and last triggered alert columns are improved for easier visualization of alert improvement or degradation. |
Dashboards added to Splunk App for Infrastructure navigation | When saving a panel or multiple panels from the Analysis Workspace, there is now a dashboard tab you can use to save dashboard data outside of Splunk App for Infrastructure. This feature is not available for Splunk Insights for Infrastructure. |
Dimension values allow "." and "$" symbols | Dimension values can include "." (dots) and "$" (dollar) symbols when saving entity information. |
