About using collectd

The collectd agent is an open source daemon that collects system and application performance metrics. Splunk's e-book gives you a deep dive into what collectd is, how you can configure collectd, analyze collectd data, and using Splunk and collectd together to analyze infrastructure data. See A Beginner's Guide to collectd on www.splunk.com.
