What's new in Splunk App for Infrastructure

These release notes apply to the Splunk App for Infrastructure (SAI) version 2.0.2.

New features

New feature or enhancement Description
Windows integration support You can configure Windows integrations for Windows Server 2019 systems. For more information, see Operating system support for data collection.
Universal forwarder for Windows integrations The universal forwarder version the Windows data collection script installs was upgraded from version 7.2.4 to version 8.0.1. For more information, see *nix and Windows log collection.
*nix integration support

You can configure *nix integrations for these operating systems:

  • CentOS 8
  • RHEL 8

For more information, see Operating system support for data collection.

collectd version The data collection agent package now includes plug-ins for collectd 5.9.x and 5.10.x for compatible *nix operating systems. For more information, see Copy the plug-ins to collectd's plug-in directory.
