About this release

Version 2.0.9 of Splunk Connect for Kafka is compatible with the following software and platforms:

Splunk platform versions 7.1 and later
Platforms Platform independent
Vendor products Kafka Connect

New features

Version 2.0.9 of Splunk Connect for Kafka contains the following new features:

  • Updated log4j version from 2.17.1 to 2.17.2.
  • Added protobuf support.
  • Added support for timestamp extraction.

Fixed issues

Version 2.0.9 of Splunk Connect for Kafka has the following fixed issues:

  • The tracker now clears so an event can be added after the LinkedBlockingQueue has been filled.
