Using location trackers

This feature is deprecated.
The location tracker visualization is deprecated as of version 1.5.0. It will be archived and removed from Splunkbase on December 21, 2024. After removal, visualizations previously installed in environments will remain available but unsupported.

What location trackers visualize

Show the current location of one or more individual resources in real time. The location tracker visualization shows resource movement on a map.

Use cases

Use this visualization to monitor locations for different physical resources. There are many security use cases for tracking an individual resource location.

Data for location trackers

Use data that includes timestamped latitude and longitude coordinates and a resource name for each event.
