What's new

Here's what's new in the latest version of the Splunk Supporting Add-on for Active Directory:

2016-4-5 TAG-11013 Support for the SSL version 2 (SSLv2) protocol has been removed in Splunk Enterprise version 6.4.0 and later. As a result, support for this protocol has also been removed from the Splunk Supporting Add-on for Active Directory.

Current known issues

The Splunk Add-on for Windows has the following known issues:

Before 2015-9-18 TAG-9124 When you enable single sign-on (SSO) in Splunk Enterprise, the configuration page does not work as expected.
2015-12-4 TAG-9670 On some versions of *nix, some LDAP searches cause out-of-memory errors when they run.
2015-12-4 TAG-9662 Use of an exclamation mark in the binddn attribute can cause Invalid argument errors when you perform a search with ldapsearch.
2015-12-4 TAG-9567 After you upgrade from version 1.x to version 2.x of the add-on, the custom commands (ldapsearch,

ldapfetch, ldapfilter, ldapgroup, ldaptestconnection) are slower.

2015-12-4 TAG-9438 The ldapfilter command does not find any results when you pipe output to it from an ldapsearch command that searches a non-default domain.
2015-12-4 TAG-9336 The configuration page generates a TypeError when it cannot connect to a host during the LDAP test connection procedure.
