Version 3.1.0 of the Splunk Supporting Add-on for Active Directory was released in September 2024.
What's new
The Splunk Supporting Add-on for Active Directory v3.1.0 has the following new features and the fixes.
- Support of the NTLMv2 authentication for Windows-based AD server. ( NTLMv2 is not FIPS compliant.)
- Support for Python 3.9.
- Updated the custom commands to run locally by default to reduce the manual intervention on Splunk Cloud instances.
- Enabled the SSL support by default for On-Premise deployments
- Removed the base64 encoded password support. It is now mandatory to have the list_storage_passwords capability to use this add-on.
