Hardware and software requirements for the Splunk Metrics Workspace

To install and use the Splunk Metrics Workspace, you must meet the following hardware and software requirements.

Splunk role requirements

To install and configure the Splunk Metrics Workspace, you must be a member of the admin role.

Splunk capability requirements

To use some functionalities of the Splunk Metrics Workspace, you must have certain capabilities assigned at the user level.

Splunk platform requirements

The Splunk Metrics Workspace runs on the following Splunk platforms:

  • Splunk Enterprise version 7.1.0 through 7.3.5.
  • Splunk Cloud version 7.1.3 through 7.3.5.
