Build Playbooks with the Playbook Editor

The visual editor for classic playbooks is now removed. Convert your classic playbooks to modern mode. Your classic playbooks will continue to run and you can view and edit them in the SOAR Python code editor.

Update from source control in

To update playbooks based on the source you select and your source control settings, follow these steps:

  1. Select the main menu in , then select Playbooks.
  2. Select the Update from source control icon (The Update from source control icon).
  3. Select a source from the drop-down list to update the playbook from.
  4. (Optional) Select the Force Update checkbox to remove any conflicting changes and replace the current playbook code with the code in the remote repository.
  5. (Optional) Select the Preserve State checkbox to preserve the local state of the playbook. This includes active or inactive status, safe mode status, draft mode status, and the log level. If this checkbox is not selected, the playbook is set to inactive, safe mode is turned off, and log level is set to default.
  6. Select Update.
