Manage configuration changes

Important: Once pooling is enabled on a search head, you must notify the search head whenever you directly edit a configuration file.

Specifically, if you add a stanza to any configuration file in a local directory, you must run the following command:

splunk btool fix-dangling

Note: This is not necessary if you make changes by means of Splunk Web or the CLI.
