Configure the Splunk Add-on for Windows
- On your forwarder, using a text editor, create an
inputs.conf
in your local directory. Use theinputs.conf
in your default directory at%SPLUNK_HOME%\etc\apps\Splunk_TA_Windows\default\inputs.conf
as reference for configuring inputs in%SPLUNK_HOME%\etc\apps\Splunk_TA_Windows\default\inputs.conf
. - Enable the inputs for which the add-on should collect data by setting the disabled attribute for those input stanzas to 0.
- Save the file and close it.
- Copy the contents of the
Splunk_TA_windows
directory to%SPLUNK_HOME%\etc\apps
on any other forwarders. - Restart your Splunk platform deployment.
