Monitoring Splunk Enterprise

Configure your Splunk Enterprise deployment to use Splunk Assist

To use Splunk Assist with your Splunk Enterprise deployment, you must perform the following steps.

  • Enable support usage data in your deployment. See Share performance data in Splunk Enterprise in the Admin Manual.
  • Configure Monitoring Console, if you have not already. See Multi-instance deployment setup steps.
  • If you use a firewall to secure your Splunk Enterprise deployment network, ensure that the firewall has an allow list for the following domains and instances within the deployment:
    Host name Instances that require access Ports
    *.scs.splunk.com Search heads that run Monitoring Console 443
