Custom alert actions overview

This documentation has moved and been updated. See Create custom alert actions for Splunk Cloud Platform or Splunk Enterprise in the Developer Guide on the Developer Portal.

If you use Splunk Cloud Platform, you do not have file system access to your Splunk deployment. If you want to create custom alert actions, contact Professional Services to create the custom alert action and then package the alert action in an app for you to install. See Manage private apps on your Splunk Cloud Platform deployment for more information.
