Types of Splunk Cloud deployment
Splunk Cloud version 8.x and later is offered in two ways.
- Purchased: Paid subscription to the Splunk Cloud service.
- Free trial: Limited duration free trial initiated from the Splunk website.
If the URL you use to access Splunk Cloud begins with
https://prd-p-* you are using a free trial.
The following table lists details about the differences between free trial and purchased deployments.
