Splunk Cloud deployment types
Splunk Cloud version 8.x and higher offers two deployment types:
- Purchased: Paid subscription to the Splunk Cloud service.
- Free trial: Limited duration free trial initiated from the Splunk website.
If the URL you use to access Splunk Cloud begins with
https://prd-p-* you are using a free trial.
The following table shows the differences between the free trial and purchased deployment types:
