What's New

Splunk Stream version 8.1.1 was released on June 1, 2023.

Stream 8.1.1 contains a number of bug fixes, see the release notes for more information.

What has changed with Splunk Stream 8.1.1

  • Instead of allocating memory on as-needed basis, Stream now pre-allocates more memory at setup. Memory allocation is necessary during times of peak performance demand. Pre-allocating memory makes Stream more efficient during these peak performance periods.
  • If your cofiguration runs traffic with VLAN-ID on one side but not on other direction, this may result in mismatch of VLANs in the TCP streams which results possible reassembly queue overflow errors and traffic loss.
