Here's how to download Splunk TV for an Android TV.

Prerequisites and requirements

Splunk TV for Android requires the following:

• Use Splunk Cloud Gateway version 1.12.4 or higher. See Install Splunk Cloud Gateway. If you're using the Splunk TV Companion app, use Splunk Cloud Gateway version 1.13.9 or higher.
• Have a TV that runs Android TV 5.0 or later.

Steps

Here's how to download the alpha version Splunk TV for Android:

1. On a web browser, log into your Play Store account.
2. Navigate to https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.splunk.android.tv.
3. Click Become a Tester. The Splunk TV app appears in the Play Store on your TV within 1 to 2 hours.
4. On your TV, log into your Play Store account.
5. Download Splunk TV from the Play Store.

Download Splunk TV for Fire TV

Here's how to download Splunk TV for Fire TV.

Prerequisites and requirements

Splunk TV for Fire TV requires the following:

• Email ssg-AndroidTVPreGA@splunk.com to provide your Amazon email address.
• Use Splunk Cloud Gateway version 1.12.3 or later. See Install Splunk Cloud Gateway.
• Have a TV or Fire Stick that runs Fire OS 5.0 or later.

Steps

1. In the email invitation you receive, click the link of the market place you'll be testing in. This opens a retail page for Splunk TV.
2. Agree to the tester agreement.
3. From the Deliver To dropdown menu, select the TV you want to download Splunk TV on.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to download Splunk TV.
