Splunk Edge Hub overview

Get environmental sensor data into your Splunk platform without any complex configuration using Splunk Edge Hub. The Splunk Edge Hub is a Splunk-configured hardware with built-in sensors that collects sensor data and streams it into your Splunk platform instance.

Splunk Edge Hub is supported with Victoria and Classic Experience Splunk Cloud Platform and Splunk Enterprise deployments version 9.0 or higher.

Download the Splunk Edge Hub mobile app and the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR

Download the Splunk Edge Hub mobile app from the App Store. Use the mobile app to register your mobile device and Splunk Edge Hub to your Splunk platform instance and to manage your Edge Hubs.

Download the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR from Splunkbase. Use the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR during the registration process.

Register your Splunk Edge Hub

The Splunk Edge Hub uses Splunk Secure Gateway, the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR, and the Splunk Edge Hub mobile app to connect to your Splunk platform instance. You'll connect your Edge Hub to a network during the registration process.

Mount your Splunk Edge Hub

Mount your Splunk Edge Hub to where you want to collect sensor data using the provided hardware. To learn how, see Mount your Splunk Edge Hub.

Start streaming data

After set up and registration, the Splunk Edge Hub collects sensor data and streams it into your Splunk platform instance. Use the Splunk Edge Hub mobile app to configure and manage your Splunk Edge Hub.

View Splunk Edge Hub data

You can view and analyze the Splunk Edge Hub data using the provided default indexes or on your mobile device with the Splunk Mobile or Splunk AR app.
