Splunk Business Flow is no longer available for purchase as of June 20, 2020. Customers who have already purchased Business Flow will continue to have support and maintenance per standard support terms for the remainder of contractual commitments.

Customize your proxy settings to enable SBF to use your proxy

Follow these steps to customize proxy settings to enable Splunk Business Flow (SBF) to use your proxy.

  1. Type the following into your browser after the url you use to access your local splunk instance: app/splunk-business-flow/home/deploy-check
  2. Click '"Configure Proxy Settings"' in the Deployment Check Results panel.
  3. Select the type of proxy:
    • HTTP
    • HTTP-no-tunnel
    • Socks4
    • Socks5
  4. In Host type your host. Do not include the leading protocol
  5. in Port type the Port number.
  6. (Optional) Enable authentication.
    1. In Username type a username.
    2. In Password type a password.
  7. (Optional) Enable rDNS, reverse DNS resolution.
  8. Click Submit.
  9. Restart Splunk Enterprise.

To successfully configure your proxy, you might need to allow list the app domain.
