New features for the Splunk App for AWS
The Splunk App for AWS version 4.1.0 adds these new features:
- Support for the GovCloud and China regions.
- Improved topology dashboard, including an IAM topology view, toggles for CPU Utilization and Network Traffic layers, and the ability export the entire topology image.
- New opt-in alerts for billing thresholds and CloudTrail activity.
- Support for filtering dashboards using custom tags defined in AWS.
- New billing dashboards providing estimates for the current month's bill, detailed billing analysis, and capacity planning.
- Data source hints on all dashboards to help with troubleshooting empty panels.
- New, easy-to-configure Metadata input gets automatically created for new accounts.
- Support for S3 access logs, ELB access logs, and CloudFront data.
- Support for collecting data from AWS Lambda and S3 metric namespaces using the CloudWatch input.
- Ability to configure multiple inputs for the same account for all input types.
- Ability to configure custom indexes for all input types.
- Support for proxy configured through the Splunk Add-on for AWS.
