Configure Advanced settings in Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services

The following topic is applicable only for Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services versions 5.0.0, 5.1.0 and 5.1.1.

Add add-on-specific settings by navigating to the Advanced tab, which is located in the Configuration tab.

Allow Storage Blob Deletion

Enabling this option will remove the checkpoint files from the Splunk environment which were migrated to KV store in the Storage Blob input. This action is irreversible. Make sure that the Storage Blob inputs are migrated successfully and that the inputs are stable before enabling this option.

Confirm Checkpoint migration for each input:

• Make sure that the <input_name> is now migrated to the KV store through the notification in the UI.
• Check that the Checkpoint has been migrated to KV store through the message log in the internal logs.
