Hardware and software requirements for the Splunk Add-on for Google Workspace

Splunk admin requirements

To install and configure the Splunk Add-on for Google Workspace, you must be a member of the admin or sc_admin role.

Google Workspace requirements

To use this add-on, you must have a valid Google Workspace account with sufficient permissions to configure the Google Workspace services from which you want to collect data. In order to ingest Google Workspace data into your Splunk platform deployment, you must complete the following prerequisites:

  • Create a new project in your Google Cloud Platform deployment.
  • Create a Google Cloud Service account for each project from the Google Developers Console.

Splunk platform requirements

Because this add-on runs on the Splunk platform, all of the system requirements apply to the Splunk software you use to run this add-on.
