Set up Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud

You must generate an API token before setting up the Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud. See https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-api-tokens-for-your-atlassian-account/.

Follow the instructions to set up Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud:

  1. On Splunk Web, go to the Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud, either by clicking the name of this add-on on the left navigation banner or by going to Manage Apps, then clicking Launch App for the Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud.
  2. Click the Configuration tab.
  3. Click the Domain tab.
  4. Click Add.
  5. In the Add Domain dialogue box, provide your-domain
  6. Click Add.
  7. Click the API token tab.
  8. Click Add.
  9. In the Add Domain dialogue box, provide the required fields:
    Field Description
    Domain Select your domain
    Label Name your API token; consider using the same label as used in Jira Cloud
    User name Email address related to the account you used to create the API token
    API token The Token you created and saved to be used here.
  10. Click Add.

(Optional) Change logging level

  1. On Splunk Web, go to the Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud by clicking the name of this add-on on the left navigation banner or by going to Manage Apps, then clicking Launch App in the row for the Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud.
  2. Click Configuration.
  3. Click Logging.
  4. Select a new logging level from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Save to save your configurations.

(Optional) Configure a Proxy

  1. On Splunk Web, go to the Splunk Add-on for Jira Cloud.
  2. Click Configuration.
  3. Click "Proxy".
  4. Fill in the required details
  5. The add-on supports HTTP and SOCKS5 proxy types.
