Installation steps for the Splunk Add-on for Nagios Core on a distributed Splunk Enterprise deployment

Complete the following steps to install and configure this add-on.

  1. Install the Splunk Add-on for Nagios Core.
  2. Configure your Nagios Core instance for the Splunk Add-on for Nagios Core.
  3. Configure your inputs using the methods that match the data you want to collect and your version of Splunk DB Connect.
    1. Configure log inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Nagios Core
    2. Configure Splunk DB Connect v2 inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Nagios Core
    3. Configure Splunk DB Connect v3 inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Nagios Core
