On April 3, 2023, Splunk Data Stream Processor will reach its end of sale, and will reach its end of life on February 28, 2025. If you are an existing DSP customer, please reach out to your account team for more information.
This documentation does not apply to the most recent version of Splunk® Data Stream Processor. For documentation on the most recent version, go to the latest release.

Get data in with a DSP push-based connector

Push-based connectors continuously send data from an external source into a pipeline. The configuration of a connector is called a Connection. Connections include the credentials that are required by connectors to connect to their endpoints. You can manage connections in the Global Connections Management page.

To use a push-based connector, do the following steps:

  1. Create a connection for your connector.
  2. After you create your connection, you can use it in a connector in your data pipeline.
  3. (Optional) If you want to send data from these data sources to Splunk Enterprise, see

The Read from Splunk Firehose source function does not ingest data from push-based connectors.
