Splunk® Data Stream Processor

Install and administer the Data Stream Processor

DSP 1.2.1 is impacted by the CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046 security vulnerabilities from Apache Log4j. To fix these vulnerabilities, you must upgrade to DSP 1.2.4. See Upgrade the Splunk Data Stream Processor to 1.2.4 for upgrade instructions.

On October 30, 2022, all 1.2.x versions of the Splunk Data Stream Processor will reach its end of support date. See the Splunk Software Support Policy for details.

Use the Splunk App for DSP to monitor your DSP deployment

Once you've installed and configured the Splunk App for DSP, you can use the app's dashboards to view historical metrics and logs for your DSP deployment. From Splunk Web, navigate to the app labeled "Splunk App for DSP". Learn more about apps and add-ons in the Apps and add-ons in the Admin Manual.

The default view gives you an overview of your DSP cluster health, including visualizations of data input and output rates, pipeline performance, and read/write rates. You can use the dashboards to view additional details about Flink, S2S and HEC metrics, DSP infrastructure, Pulsar metrics, and DSP logs.

For more information about Splunk dashboards, see Create a dashboard and Edit dashboards in the Splunk Dashboards and Visualizations Manual.
