About the Splunk Datasets Add-on

The Splunk Datasets Add-on provides the Table Editor, an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that you can use to build, maintain, and analyze table datasets (tables) without learning or using the Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL). After you install the Splunk Datasets Add-on, tables become a seamless part of your Splunk software user experience.

Release compatibility

Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud versions
6.5.x and later.

If you use Splunk Cloud 6.5.x or later, the Splunk Datasets Add-on is installed by default.
