Change the Splunk Cloud Gateway ID
You can change the Cloud Gateway ID so that users can identify the instances that they're registered to when using the Connected Experiences mobile apps.
The Cloud Gateway ID is randomly generated when you install Splunk Cloud Gateway. You can change it in the Configure tab of Splunk Cloud Gateway or in the cloudgateway.conf file.

Prerequisites
- Have admin role access.
- Install Splunk Cloud Gateway on your Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud instance.
Change Cloud Gateway ID in the Configure tab
- Navigate to the Configure tab of Splunk Cloud Gateway.
- Next to the Cloud Gateway ID, tap the edit icon.
- Edit the ID. Splunk Cloud Gateway removes any white space and does not allow an empty string.
- Tap the edit icon again to save the Cloud Gateway ID.
