Visual elements

A horseshoe meter is a gauge with a circular dial and current value. It works similarly to a vehicle speedometer or tire air pressure gauge.

Dial

The dial represents a value range from zero to a target value or threshold. The current metric value fills the dial and can fluctuate to show real-time results.

Value and caption

The meter shows the current aggregated metric value on the dial. The same value and an optional caption also appear under the dial.

Color

Horseshoe meter color can be static or dynamic.

Static color

The current value might appear in a single color. Static color can highlight the current value, showing how it compares to a target.

Dynamic color

If a rangemap is enabled, dynamic colors show the current value in the context of three configured ranges. Value color changes depending on the range in which the current value belongs.

Interactive elements

Click on the label or dial to open a new search on the aggregated events.
