New features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

Version 4.11.x has these new and changed features.

Entity Integrations

New feature or enhancement Description
Retire entities in ITSI You can now create policies to evaluate and identify entities that are no longer actively sending data. The Entity Management page now includes two new tabs: Entity Management Policies and Retired Entities to manage entities flagged for retirement. For more information, see Retire Entities in ITSI.
Sync entity details page time-range picker to a time picker in a custom dashboard When you add a custom dashboard to an entity type, you can now configure a time-range picker so time selections made within IT Essentials Work are synced to any time-range pickers in the dashboard. Learn more in the Add Splunk dashboards section of the Create custom entity types topic.
Sort Entity Health page by vital metric and entity name You can now sort entities on the Entity Health page for a given entity-type by vital metric and entity name.
New setting to Hide entity types with no entities You can toggle a setting on the Infrastructure Overview page to hide entity types with no entities. See About the Infrastructure Overview for more info.
Dashboard navigation for entities assigned to more than one entity type When drilling down from the entity type health page to an entity that is assigned to more than one entity type, the dashboard default will be the Splunk dashboard that corresponds to the entity type page the user navigated from.
Improvements to the out-of-the-box Windows and Unix and Linux entity health dashboards Several improvements have been made to the underlying searches and vital metrics for the Windows and Unix and Linux entity health dashboards to improve value and usability.

Service Analyzer

New feature or enhancement Description
KPI Health Score Calculation Improvement Several improvements have been made for KPI health score calculation execution and single KPI alerting, allowing you to view the service health score and receive alerts for a single KPI more quickly.

Glass Table Editor

New feature or enhancement Description
Classic glass table migration for ITSI on-prem All classic glass tables will be automatically migrated to the new glass table framework upon upgrade, and you will no longer be able to create classic glass tables.
