New features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

This version has these new and changed features.

Service Insights

New feature or enhancement Description
Machine learning-assisted KPI thresholding You can now generate threshold recommendations tailored to your KPI's historical data and powered by Splunk AI. Assisted thresholding significantly reduces the time it takes to manually configure KPIs, and helps you get started with adaptive thresholding and precise service monitoring. For more information, see Configure KPI thresholds with machine learning in ITSI.

Entity Management

New feature or enhancement Description
Entity status remediation You can now easily navigate to the discovery searches that contribute to the entity status calculation in order to make changes and troubleshoot the root cause of entity performance issues. For more information, see Update an entity discovery search in ITSI.
Bulk delete retired entities Quickly view and delete all the retired entities in your environment. For more information, see Delete entities in ITSI.

Service Analyzer

New feature or enhancement Description
Collapsible service trees and enhanced filtering The service tree is now enhanced to help you determine the root cause of service health score degradation. You can now filter services based on a minimum or maximum severity level, and collapse service trees for refined filtering. Additionally, use the Filter by Service Depth field to filter by the number of service dependencies, or hide services that are inactive when using the service tree view.

New feature or enhancement Description
ITSI restoration process enhancements When you create a new restore job in ITSI, you can now view any missing dependent objects in your backup file to prevent restore job failures. For more information, see Restore from a backup ZIP file.

New feature or enhancement Description
New upgrade readiness pre-check When you run an upgrade readiness pre-check on the ITSI Upgrade Readiness Dashboard, new pre-checks have been added to identify entities that are associated with deleted or non-existent services, detect issues with entity filtering, and recognize when the number of KPIs using a specific base search exceeds a limit. For a full list of the pre-checks and resolutions, see Upgrade error reference.
ITSI Health Check dashboard enhancements The ITSI Health Check dashboard has been updated and reorganized to surface actionable information about your environment. Quickly drill down to specific knowledge objects and view the new dashboard panels that track recent refresh queue jobs, average CPU utilization, and more. For more information, see Use the ITSI Health Check dashboard.

New feature or enhancement Description
Configuration menu enhancements The options in the Configuration dropdown on the ITSI navigation menu are now organized into sub-menus for ease of navigation. You can navigate to the page that you need based on your use case (for example, service monitoring or event management).
