Install the app

Requirements

The Machine Learning Toolkit and Showcase App requires the following:

  • The Python for Scientific Computing Add-on. Download the appropriate version for your Splunk deployment here:

Installation

After you install the Python for Scientific Computing Add-on, install the Machine Learning Toolkit and Showcase app.

  1. Download the Machine Learning Toolkit and Showcase app from Splunkbase.
  2. Log into Splunk Web.
  3. Click the Manage Apps icon.
  4. On the Apps page, click Install app from file.
  5. Click Choose File, navigate to and select the Machine Learning Toolkit and Showcase package file, then click Open.
  6. Click Upload.


To install the Machine Learning Toolkit and Showcase app from the command line:

  • At the command line, enter:
  • splunk install app <path/packagename>
  • Alternatively, unpack the file and then copy the /Splunk_ML_Toolkit directory to $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps.
