Release notes for Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure

This topic contains information on new features, known issues, and updates as we version the Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure.

Version 2.0.3 of the Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure was released on July 14, 2021.

What's new

Splunk App Windows Infrastructure version 2.0.3 now supports Splunk Add-on for Windows version 8.1.2 and Windows server 2019. The requirement for the assignment of "winfra-admin" role to the search-head user has been removed. You don't need to assign this role to the user that runs the app on the search head.

Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure version 2.0.3 has been updated to support self-service installation in the cloud environments. See the steps for the installation in cloud environment for the installation steps.
