The Splunk Add-on for OPC applies the following source types to the data you ingest from your OPC servers.

Source type	Description	Compatible with IoT common information model
opc:metrics	Metrics data from your OPC UA, DA, or AE servers.	Yes, for metrics data in a metrics index.
opc:alarms_events	Alarms and audit data from your OPC UA, DA, or AE servers.	Yes, for alarm data in an event index.
