Install the Data monitoring preview app

Splunk Cloud Platform supports self-service installation of private apps on search heads and indexers. To install the app:

  1. In the menu, go to Apps > Find more apps.
  2. Search for "Data Monitoring".
  3. Once you find the "Data Monitoring" app in the results, click Install.

You can also download the Data monitoring preview app at https://classic.splunkbase.splunk.com/app/7716

Once you have installed the app, if you see an "internal server error" message when you try to open it, you can restart Splunk to fix the issue. To restart from Splunk Web, select Settings > Server controls > Restart Splunk in the main menu.
