Create and edit dashboard groups

You can create groups of dashboards and display them in a slideshow using Splunk TV.

Prerequisites

Create a dashboard group

  1. On the homepage, select Create a Group.
  2. Select the dashboards you want to include in the group.
    You can add up to 10 dashboards per group. To deselect a dashboard, select it again.
  3. Select Next.
  4. Name the dashboard group.
  5. Select Create Group.
    The group is now under Groups on the homepage.

From the homepage, select a group to view it. Each dashboard displays for 30 seconds, and then rotates to the next dashboard in the group. You can adjust the display time in settings.

Dashboard groups are saved to the server per user. When you unregister a TV, dashboard groups that you created on that TV persist on other TVs that you registered.

Edit a dashboard group

Refer to the following table to delete or edit a dashboard group:

Action Steps
Delete a group
  1. From the homepage, long press the dashboard group.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. Select Save changes.
Add a dashboard to a group
  1. From the homepage, long press the dashboard group.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Select which dashboards you want to include in the group.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Select Save changes.
Remove a dashboard from a group
  1. From the homepage, long press the dashboard group.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Deselect a dashboard by selecting it again.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Select Save changes.
Reorder dashboards in a group
  1. From the homepage, long press the dashboard group.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Select View Group.
  4. Select a dashboard.
  5. Swipe to reorder the dashboard.
  6. After you reorder the dashboard, select the dashboard again.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Select Next.
  9. Select Save Changes.
