Welcome to Splunk UBA 5.0.1

Splunk UBA 5.0.1 is a maintenance release. See About Splunk User Behavior Analytics and release types for more information about the different types of Splunk UBA releases.

If you are new to Splunk UBA, review all the steps in the Splunk UBA installation checklist before installing Splunk UBA.

What's new in 5.0.1

Splunk UBA 5.0.1 contains the following features and enhancements:

New feature or enhancement Description
Migration The backup and restore scripts are updated to provide migration support for Splunk UBA deployments. The following migration paths are supported:
  • Migrate up one deployment size, such as 3 nodes to 5 nodes, or 10 nodes to 20 nodes.
  • Both deployments must have the same operating system.

Enhancements for how Splunk UBA handles closed threats Filter the threats displayed in the Threats Table, Threat Review, and Threat Dashboard by threat status.

Kafka data ingestion This version of Splunk UBA requires version 1.3 of the Splunk UBA Kafka Ingestion App.
