Install and Upgrade Splunk User Behavior Analytics

Upgrade a distributed RHEL, CentOS, or Oracle Linux installation of Splunk UBA

Before upgrading Splunk UBA in a distributed deployment, be sure you have verified the Upgrade Splunk UBA prerequisites. Make sure that the prerequisites are verified on each server in the distributed deployment.

Distributed environment upgrade steps

Install Splunk UBA 5.0.2 on the master node only. The upgrade script will update all relevant files on the other Splunk UBA nodes. Ensure that Splunk UBA is running before you upgrade.

  1. Work with Splunk Support or your sales account representative to gain access to the subscription content.
  2. From the Splunk UBA menu select Manage > Subscription Content.
  3. Click Install Subscription Content.
  4. Select the subscription content file by clicking Choose File and uploading the file.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK to confirm that you want to install the content.
