Edit your GCP data inputs for Data Manager

Consider a scenario where you onboarded data for Google Cloud Platform accounts, and you need to to edit your data inputs after onboarding.

  1. From the Splunk Cloud home page, select Data Manager from the Apps menu.
  2. From the Data Management page, find the GCP data input you want to revise, and click the Edit action.
  3. Deploy your edited Terraform template.

You cannot edit the Data Input Name, Google Cloud Dataflow Region and GCS Bucket Name fields, but the JSON Key and Data Destination fields can be changed.

Delete a GCP data input

You can delete your GCP data inputs from the Terraform CLI using the steps in the Data Manager app.

Before deleting this data input configuration, you need to clean up the GCP setup. The GCP cleanup process cannot be canceled or paused, while in progress.

  1. Extract the template (Optional)
  2. Initialize the Terraform template (Optional)
  3. Delete the Terraform resources.
    1. In the directory where you initialized the Terraform template, delete the Terraform resources. If you have Terraform CLI, you can run the provided command in the CLI to delete the Terraform resources.
  4. After you clean up the GCP resource configurations, click the Delete Data Input button to delete your data input.
